International Bazaar - American Stand

The American Stand is in need of volunteers. Come join a 50+ year-long tradition of supporting charities world-wide. The last International Bazaar raised more than €600,000! Visit the Bazaar website for more details: bazar-international.lu.

We already count with a handful of committed volunteers but always welcome more. There are many jobs that can be catered to volunteer's availability, skills and interests!

Here's a glimpse at some of the areas that we need more help with:

Merchandise Stand:
  • March - June: a few hours per week reviewing catalogues for new and interesting products.
  • October/November: 4 days for pricing the Merchandise to sell at the Bazaar.
  • December: setting up/tearing down the Merchandise on the Stand the day before/after the Bazaar.
Food Stand:
  • November: Assisting in picking up the food from the US Military Base in Germany, then pricing the food items.
  • December: Setting up the Food items on the Stand the day before the Bazaar.

Tombola:

  • Helping gather, organize and package tombola items.
  • Helping sell tombola tickets.

Additional Fundraisers:

  • Assiting with small additional fundraiser events held during the year (all benefiting the American Stand).

Trunk or Treat Needs Volunteers

We are looking for volunteers to join the 2018 committee! "Trunk or Treat" is a big family event that gathers around 300 children each year. Location: St. George's School on Saturday, October 20th from 3 - 5 pm.

The committee members will help out with: planning the event, organizing members to participate with their cars, buying candy (paid for by the AWCL), general setting up on the day as well as running the event itself.

It's always a lot of fun for the children and we need your help to make this year's event another big success! Please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. if you would like to help out.
